Is MyVaran safe for women?
A woman's photos can stay blurred and her contact number stays hidden until she says yes to the other person. She can chat first inside the app with numbers hidden, and report any profile. Every member verifies their mobile number with an OTP.
How many contact numbers are free?
Your first 10 contact numbers are free. Men aged 36 and over need Premium to see contact numbers. Numbers are only shown after both people agree.
How many interests can I send for free?
Women: unlimited. Men: 7 new interests a week for free (1 a week for men aged 36 and over). Premium removes the limit. Replying to interests is always free.
Which communities are on MyVaran?
All Tamil communities and religions are welcome, including Iyer, Iyengar, Mudaliar, Nadar, Gounder, Chettiar, Vanniyar, Pillai, Thevar, Naicker, Agamudayar, Tamil Christian and Tamil Muslim families. Your own community is shown first.
Can parents create a profile for their son or daughter?
Yes. Choose who is creating the profile when you sign up. The profile then shows a “Managed by parent” badge so others know who they are talking to.
